The Market Season Is Back – And I’m So Ready 💗
If you’ve ever stopped for a chat at one of our stalls, you’ll know that markets for me are about so much more than just shopping. They’re about conversations, catch-ups, laughs… and yes, usually a very enthusiastic chat about books 📚
So with market season officially starting again, I honestly couldn’t be more excited to be back out there doing what I love.
We’re kicking things off somewhere that always feels extra special to us – Knaresborough Castle on Friday 31st January. It feels like forever since we were last there (October was a long time ago), and I can’t wait to see familiar faces again, have proper catch-ups, and start the season somewhere so beautiful.
A Lovely Little Run of Markets
Straight after that, we’ll be back at Harrogate Valley Gardens on Sunday 1st February. This one always feels so relaxed and friendly – the kind of market where chats naturally wander from products to plans… and usually end up on books.
On Sunday 8th February, we’re heading back to Wetherby. This one feels extra special because the last time we were there I was hiding Halloween boo bags around the town for people to find 🎃 – so returning in a completely different season just feels really lovely.
Let’s Talk Books 📖
One of my favourite things about market days is chatting about what everyone’s reading. I love hearing what’s on people’s TBR lists and sharing recommendations.
Right now, I’m reading One Dark Window, and I am absolutely loving being back in my fantasy era. Sitting patiently (and not so patiently) on my TBR are:
-
When the Moon Hatched
-
Hollow
-
Quicksilver
-
Once Upon a Broken Heart
If you ever want to talk books while browsing, please do – I’m always happy to add another book to the list.
Valentine’s Dates, New Places & Pink Gazebo Energy 💘
We’ll be at Junction 32 on Valentine’s Day (14th February) with lots of gift-worthy goodies and all the pink vibes.
Then we’re off to two brand new markets, which I’m so excited about. We’ll be trading at Leeds Briggate on Sunday 15th February and Malton on Saturday 21st February. New places, new faces, and of course… the pink gazebo will be making an appearance.
A Really Big Moment for Us 🎉
One of the absolute highlights of our year (and honestly, such a big deal for our little business) is being part of the Rhubarb Festival 2026.
We are beyond excited to say we’ll be there on Friday 20th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, trading from Chalet 42, right by Wakefield Cathedral. Being part of such a well-loved, iconic event feels incredibly special, and we honestly can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere and meet so many new people.
Double Market Days Incoming
February is busy in the best possible way! We’ll be doing double market days too:
-
21st February – Malton and the Rhubarb Festival
-
22nd February – Ripon and the Rhubarb Festival
After all that excitement, we’ll be finishing the month right back where we started – at Knaresborough Castle on Saturday 28th February.
A Little Hint… 👀
If you’ve shopped with us before, you’ll know we love bringing something new along each year. Let’s just say… if you like feeling cosy, love matching with little ones, and enjoy wearing your favourite designs in a warmer way, you might want to keep an eye on the pop-up shop this year 😉
Alongside lots of Valentine’s pieces, we’ll be bringing brand new products, familiar favourites, and plenty of opportunities for a proper chat.
Thank you so much for supporting our little business – I truly can’t wait to see you at a market soon, whether it’s for a browse, a catch-up, or a book recommendation 💗📚
